Internships at HBS
Internships at the Heinrich-Boll-Stiftung Nairobi's office offer only East African students and recent graduates the opportunity to learn and apply their academic knowledge to our work.
Qualifying
Applicant should:
- Be at least in their final (e.g. forth year) university undergraduate level. Postgraduate (Master, PhD) students are also encouraged to apply.
- Exhibit proficiency in spoken and written English, be skilled in Office Suite, and preferably have expertise in research and fieldwork.
- Show that their field of study or internship interest align with our thematic focus or programme work.
- Be available and committed throughout the placement period. The hbs internship is a full time engagement running for three (3) months, Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, with a possibility of extension for a maximum three (3) months based on the trainee’s performance.
Interns/Trainees will get a monthly stipend and will be responsible for their own transport to the office and accommodation, if necessary.
The placement is based on a first-come, first-serve basis upon a rigorous assessment of the applications where only the prequalified applicants are shortlisted and invited for an interview.
